Website privacy

How the faktos public website handles demo requests, analytics and privacy enquiries.

Scope of this notice

This notice describes data handled by the public faktos website and its demo request form. It does not describe processing of customer project documents in the signed-in application or replace a customer agreement. Before sharing project material, ask the team about the applicable data-processing terms.

Demo request information

When you request a demonstration, the website sends your name, work email, company and selected language to the team's request database, using Supabase. Older versions of the form also collected role, firm size and optional notes. These details support reviewing the enquiry and arranging a demonstration.

To limit abuse, the submission service creates a keyed hash from the request's IP address, or a user-agent fallback when no address is available. The demo-request database receives this fingerprint rather than the raw address. Hosting services may separately process request metadata when delivering and securing the website.

If team notifications are configured, a Slack notification contains the submitted name, company and a link to the request in the operator application. The work email and any notes from older forms are not included in that notification. Avoid sending confidential or sensitive information through the public form.

Website analytics

To keep your entries when you switch language or reload, the form stores a draft in this tab’s session storage, when available. The draft contains name, work email and company, is recoverable for 30 minutes after its last update, and is cleared on successful submission. It is not sent to analytics.

When configured, the site uses PostHog's EU service for page views, errors and explicit events such as language changes and completed demo requests. Automatic interaction capture and session recording are disabled on the brochure site. PostHog may use browser storage to recognise visits; a pending language-switch event may also be held in session storage.

The demo-submission analytics event contains a request identifier and language, not the form's name, email or notes. If an older form supplies role and firm size, those fields are also included. Browser privacy settings can restrict storage, although this does not prevent the server from processing a form you choose to submit.

Privacy enquiries

Use the contact page to request a follow-up from the team. In that correspondence, you can ask about information you submitted, request access, correction or deletion, or ask about retention and processing terms before submitting further information. Provide only the information needed to identify your request.

This technical notice does not specify a retention period, legal basis or the legal controller's postal details. Ask the team to confirm these details and the terms that apply to your situation; do not treat this page as a complete customer data-processing agreement.
